Module Synopsis:
This module introduces students to the knowledge, understanding and synthesis of the basic processes in manufacturing such as metal-casting processes, forming & shaping processes, material removal processes and joining processes.
Module Course Outcome:
By the end of semester, students should be able to:
CO 1: Relate the design, materials and economics of metal casting processes
CO 2: Analyze and evaluate the product in terms of the forming processes parameter and equipment.
CO 3: Analyze and examine the material removal processes parameter and Equipment
CO 4: Identify and distinguish the joining processes and applications.
