This module is basic level training program designed to introduce quality concepts and tools, fundamental quality practices and principles, to employees new to quality and to refresh the skills of those with the same previous background in quality. It is designed for organizations dedicated to improving and maintaining the highest level of quality excellence from the ground up.
This module covers industrial project management practices: project implementation methods; resource selection; risks and failures; project management tools and techniques related to manufacturing projects with problem-solving models; quantitative and qualitative decision-making strategies, including economic analysis; ethical, environmental and social issues; impact of creative thinking, critical thinking and problem solving on the design and quality of products and services.
Scheduling is concerned with efforts to see that the resources of a manufacturing system are well utilized so that the products are produced within reasonable accord with the customer demand. Numerous planning and scheduling methods have been developed for discrete part manufacturing systems, and published research has shown that the approach for scheduling production depends on the type of manufacturing system involved.
