Zaidi began his career as an Auditor with Messrs Azman, Wong, Salleh & Co. before moving to the Automotive and Property Industries as an Admin and Finance Executive. He later moved to Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Sdn. Bhd. (PTP) as an Internal Auditor. In his career in PTP, he was assigned to the Procurement and Tender Secretariat Department as an Assistant Manager, Procurement & Inventory Section. He then returned to the Internal Audit Department, where he was promoted to Manager in charge of the Whistleblower policy and investigation. He has more than 25 years of vast working experience in port management and other fields, e.g., Change Agent Facilitator, Finance, Accounting, Administration, Procurement, Warehouses and Inventory Management, Facilities Maintenance, ISO Certification Project, Enterprise Risk Management, Lean Kaizen, Business Continuity Management, Budget Management, and Internal and External Auditing. Currently, he is responsible for many important roles in PTP, such as managing Divisional and Departmental KPI, ISO Standards compliance and auditing, Divisional and Departmental Risk Coordinator, Document Management System, Quality Document Controller, Functional Lead for Divisional ERP RAMCO implementation, etc.He also graduated from the LEAN program level 4, where he was trained in many Kaizen concepts of process improvement and problem solving.

Zaidi holds a Diploma in Accounting and Finance from Swansea Institute of Higher Education (SIHE) University of Wales, UK, a Professional Advanced Diploma in Logistics Management from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

Zaidi consistently demonstrates leadership characteristics such as hard work, being able to work independently, critical and analytical thinking towards business optimization and improvement, problem solving, as well as internal control and good governance processes. With these advantages, he leverages his knowledge by giving back to the society and students by blending the knowledge both academic theories and industry experiences to be more practical learning approaches
